The IP/MPLS Forum accelerates the deployment of interoperable MPLS technology by
tackling the issues faced when deploying multi-vendor MPLS networks.
Members work together to develop technical documents that enhance the interoperability of MPLS enabled
equipment. These documents include: functional test plans, conformance requirements documents, interoperability
test plans, performance criteria and implementation agreements.
To insure that the technical work is ready for deployment, the IP/MPLS Forum
also regularly organizes public multi-vendor interoperability events. These events, which are held
internationally throughout the year at important conferences, cover the critical applications of MPLS.
They also increase awareness on the progress of IP/MPLS Forum technology.
Throughout the year, the IP/MPLS Forum organizes various interoperability demos that allow companies to showcase the functionality and interoperability of their products.
These events are designed to address the challenges faced in deploying multi-vendor MPLS networks. Through the rigorous processes of test plan development,
initial testing and final demo staging, companies work together to develop solutions that that improve their products and benefit the industry as a whole.
Only members of the IP/MPLS Forum are eligible to participate in these interoperability events. Members should contact the IP/MPLS Forum Coordinator
at info@ipmplsforum.org, to learn more about upcoming demos.
